Final Phase of Mineral King Construction Continues
The final phase of improvements to Mineral King Avenue is now expected to continue through early March due to weather, and motorists are advised to watch for detours and delays.
Through early March, the outside far left lane will be closed 24 hours a day. Two lanes will remain open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. A flagger will be on site directing traffic into the Emergency Department parking lot during nighttime construction. Access to this parking lot from Mineral King is entrance only.
No parking will be allowed along Mineral King from Bridge to West Street during construction.
The hospital parking lot on Mineral King Avenue, immediately south of the hospital, will be closed Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Fridays from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The hospital’s main parking lot at Mineral King Avenue and Locust Street will remain open.
Paving may be scheduled on Saturdays due to low nighttime temperatures.
Kaweah Delta Medical Center will continue to offer valet parking, and the parking structures on Locust and Acequia have parking allocated to patients and family members.
